My Alarm Arms But The Doors Wont Lock

I have checked all.

My alarm arms but the doors wont lock.

I turned it off but when i hit the lock button on the key the lights flashed the doors locked but the horn did not toot. My alarm will not arm. I have a 1997 nissan sentra with auto locks and an aftermarket alarm and when i press the arm button my alarm arms but doesn t lock my doors the unlock button will unarm my car and unlock the doors if i lock them manually how can i fix this myself. All the doors lock fine.

I have to open the door and push the lock button. Any advice would be appreciated. This evening i accidently set off the panic alarm when putting the key ring in my pocket. Any alarm installer should usually have spare connecting tabs.

If it is loose or has slipped out of the mortise place it back in the mortise and tighten the screws with a phillips screwdriver. Have the vehicle turned off and the doors closed unlock the vehicle or disarm the alarm system by pressing unlock on your remote. In any case this does not mean your alarm isn t armed when the doors don t work it just means the actuator malfunctioned and you just lock them manually. The fix is easy too.

I have also tried locking it from the inside door itself. I get the standard two beeps when unlocking. Press the unlock and the trunk buttons ii iii at the same time. When i push the alarm button to disarm it unlocks and doors and is fine.

What could be the sudden problem. If it won t lock open the door. Press and release do not press and hold. Shut the door and try to lock it.

But each time i want to arm my car i have to push the door lock button. When i press lock on the key fob i get the standard beep then another beep about a second later and the alarm will not arm. When i push my alarm button to lock it arms but doesnt lock the doors.
